Newmarket-on-Fergus 6-14 Burren Gaels 3-04
Congratulations to the Ladies Junior Football team who won the B Championship by defeating Burren Gaels on Monday, 3rd August 2009. Trailing at half time 3-04 to 0-01 Newmarket had a lot of work ahead of them in the second half. But it didn't phase them and began to claw into Burren Gaels lead with some well taken points. Aided by a strong breeze, Newmarket began to dominate in most areas and soon were in the lead. From there, they continued to press and scored with ease, closing the game with 19 points to spare. Well done Ladies. They are now allowed to enter the Junior A Competition this year.
